Residents in the Abbey Street area received personal advice from Neighbourhood Watch, Borough Councillor Pam Varnsverry, local Police, County Council Trading Standards officers and a Council housing officer about how to deal with cold callers, loan sharks and other issues.

The event was organised by local Neighbourhood Watch and Councillor Pam Varnsverry and was hosted by the St James Safer Community Team. They were joined by a national expert on Illegal Money Lending, Steve Ward of Nottingham City Council and local Focus team member Julia Maddison

Pam and Julia enjoyed the time spent with local residents and hope that the information provided was useful.
